CPI Jammu criticizes Govt for no control over inflation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 14: Communist Party of India (CPI), Regional Council Jammu on Monday criticised the government for no control over price hike of essential commodities especially the petrol, diesel and gas throughout the country. As per statement issued here, CPI regional council member, Rakesh Sharma demanded the government to immediately roll back of hiked prices of petrol, diesel and LPG, besides food items which is continuously breaking previous record on daily basis. He said that after the abolishing of Article 370 and bifurcation of State into two Union Territories (UTs), the central government failed in their promises, which they promised to do for the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Rakesh said, earlier, before the episode of August 5, State of Jammu and Kashmir was much better than many other states of the country and it’s performance in Health, Education,Employment, Tourism etc. was good enough but now without progress in any sector and continuous inflation has broken back of the common people. He also criticized the Jammu Kashmir Power Development Department (JKPDD) for unscheduled power cuts, and for half work on installation of new wiring and transformers in the district, which is the main cause for these cuts. Rakesh requested the department to complete the work immediately, so that no more theft of electricity be happen and people of Jammu gets some relaxation during these hot days. |
