EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 16: Humans are all being exposed to a huge amount of COVID-19 information on a daily basis and not all of it is reliable and accurate. With the aim of dispelling the rumours, stopping the spread of misinformation, separating the chaff from the grain, encouraging the people to overcome COVID-19 Vaccine hesitancy and busting the myths for COVID-19 the young warriors of NSS Unit (Khidmat) of GDC Vijaypur launched a massive social media campaign for generating awareness on COVID-19 Myth-busters viz-a-viz COVID-19 Scientific facts and various tips for telling the difference and the best way to protect oneself against the corona virus and its new strains using e-posters, videos, messages, slogans, voice recordings etc. Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College exhorted that people of all ages can be infected by COVID-19 virus but older people and people with pre-existing medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease etc. appear to be more vulnerable. She advised people of all ages to take steps to protect themselves from the virus by following good hand hygiene, social distancing, good respiratory hygiene, by vaccination and building confidence in vaccines to promote their adoption, disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, by staying at home and by wearing masks.
