| Fire breaks out in truck near Samba | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, June 16: A massive fire broke out in a truck on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway at Maheshwar area near Samba town.
The ill-fated truck bearing registration number NL02Q-7585 was on its way to Pathankot in the neighbouring state of Punjab from Bari Brahmana.
As soon as the truck carrying chemicals reached near Maheshwar Chowk, the vehicle's cabin caught fire. The fire was so severe that the cabin of the truck was reduced to ashes within a few minutes.
Seeing a water tanker coming on the same highway, the driver of the truck, Surjeet Kumar signaled him to stop. The fire was later brought under control. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet. |
