Do not lower guards, stay alert, appeals BJP Mahila Morcha leader | Covid Third Wave | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 16: In the wake of suspected third wave, which is reportedly to infect children, senior J&K BJP Mahila Morcha leader on Wednesday has appealed people not to lower their guard and stay more alert in fight against COVID pandemic. In a statement issued here, Mahila Morcha J&K UT Office Secretary, Reema Padha said that though people got vaccinated but the threat is not yet over."Getting vaccinated doesn't means that one gets safe and secure but rather, they have to get more alert," she said adding that people should not make a mistake of moving out without masks, not following an appropriate Covid behaviour because COVID infection very fast transfers from human to human."As speculated that the third wave may infect children, people must take care of them and protect them from any infection and also follow the guidelines issued from time to time by the government and also stay away from kids if any mild symptoms appears," suggested Padha. She also appealed to the Administration especially the J&K Health and Medical Education Department to make all arrangements in place and also review the preparations to prevent COVID second wave like situation. She further advised that the government has started the unlock exercise and every citizen should behave like a responsible citizen and contribute its role in fighting the pandemic with zeal."We shall overcome one day and it is possible only when each and every person understands the responsibility, follow SOPs, maintain social distancing, wear proper mask and also the health department be prepared to meet any challenge and collectively stand by in this fight," asserted Padha. |
