JMC committed to keep Jammu neat & clean: Chairman PHSC | | | EARLY TIMERS REPORT
JAMMU, June 17: Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee (PHSC) Jammu Municipal Corporation, Narinder Singh Jamwal today conducted a surprise tour of Ward No 54 to review sanitation in the ward. During the tour the Corporator of this ward, Neeraj Puri also accompanied the Chairman Narinder Singh took serious note of the poor sanitation conditions in the ward. Jamwal expressed dissatisfaction with the sanitation of the ward and issued directions to the concerned Sanitary Inspector and Sanitary Supervisor to improve the situation. The Chairman directed the concerned officials to take appropriate action against the persons responsible for causing insanitation in the ward and asked them to prioritize setting right the drainage system of that area thus ensuring thorough cleanliness in the area. While interacting with the people of the Ward, he said Jammu Municipal Corporation along with its men and machinery is fully committed to provide a clean environment to the people of Jammu. Emphasizing that JMC will continue to perform its duties in this regard with due diligence especially in view of the ongoing pandemic which has taken a heavy toll of precious lives. He said that while the JMC staff especially those working on ground are the frontline Corona warriors involved in serving the people risking their own lives, it becomes the duty of every citizen to play their individual roles too in the unprecedented situation. Jamwal asserted that the people’s cooperation and appreciation of Safai Karamcharis will encourage them to work with more dedication, zeal and enthusiasm. |
