JAMMU, June 17: Current fiscal’s district capex budget which is more than double from the one sanctioned last year will prove to be a game changer for the people of J&K as the whooping allocation of over Rs 12000 crore will pave the way for equitable development of all regions of the UT.
This was stated by the senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta while addressing a small gathering here at Ward No 52, Ambedkar Nagar, where he has gone in connection with ISM Ayush medical camp.
The BJP stalwart also distributed medicines among the visitors of the camp and held a brief interaction. He said that LG’s administration is rendering yeoman’s service and the days are not far when the UT will be transformed into a model unit having no match in the country. He said that the announcement of such a gigantic amount for Capex Budget itself is the testimony to the fact that sooner than later the socio-economic status of the people in J&K will get a major push.
Kavinder Gupta hailed the endeavours of LG Sinha and the central dispensation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking extra care of the UT of J&K and treading steadfast to ensure peace and progress by making development as the main plank. He said that the government has envisaged an all-round development model for the UT by allotting huge funds and involving Panchayats, BDCs and DDCs in the development process.
Vinay Gupta District President also spoke on the occasion and urged people to avail maximum benefits of the welfare schemes launched by the BJP Government at the Centre and the UT’s Administration.
Others who accompanied the senior BJP functionary include Ajay Gupta Corporator, Nitin Thappa Ward President, Ajay Baddan, Narender Gupta Koki, Vikas, Pawan Gupta, Sayam Gupta and Deepu.
