| MVD Reasi conducts special drive against violators of traffic rules | | |

REASI, June 17: Motor Vehicle Department (MVD)Reasi today conducted a special drive against violators of Motor Vehicle Act on Arnas-Dharmari-Thuroo-Hariwalla route in district Reasi.
The drive laid emphasis on extensive checking of vehicles particularly Taxi/Maxi cabs as a large number of complaints of charging exorbitant fare from the commuters were being received against operators of such commercial mode of transportation. The violators of COVID related SOPs were also booked.
In this regard, a team of MVD Reasi led by ARTO Reasi, Rajesh Gupta laid down nakas at different places and booked various violators of MV Act and rules framed there under.
As many as 12 vehicles were challaned for committing various offences under MV Act.
Rs 8000 was realized as compound on spot for violation of SOPs while Rs 11000 was realized as compound on spot for various other violations. |
