Traffic cops save woman from committing suicide | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 27: The Timely intervention by Cops of the Jammu Traffic on Saturday saved the life of a 25-year-old woman who had threatened to end her life at near Asia Crossing Jammu, an official said. On Saturday evening, Traffic police was busy in their day to days traffic duties, in the mean time, they observed that a woman was roaming near Asia crossing in a very disturbed condition. After observing her, two cops including a lady cop went near her. She started threatening to end her life and stood on the road side Near Asia chowk crossing. However the traffic cops caught her and dragged her from the road side and took her near traffic booth. Within no time, DySP Traffic City South Jammu Sunil Singh JKPS along with DTI Bikram Chowk Inspr Suhail Ahmad rushed to the spot to convince the woman to calm down. While Traffic police personnel kept the woman engaged in talks and traffic ladies constables held her. Finally, she was handed over to concerned Police station. The official said the woman was upset over some domestic issues. The commuters and general public were all praises for the traffic cops for saving the woman’s life. |
