Charge-sheet produced against 2 for involvement in militant activities

REASI, June 27: Reasi Police has produced a chargesheet against two accused believed to be involved in militant activities in the Court of 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu.
According to police sources, on January 1, 2021 Police Station Mahore was alerted about revival of militancy in Mahore area. On confirmation of information, two suspects Mohd Yousaf S/O Ghulam Haider R/O Dewal and Mohd Ashraf S/O Ghulam Din R/O Lar Tehsil Mahore were zeroed upon and former was arrested too after lodging case FIR no 01/2021 U/S 120-B, 121,122,123,124 IPC 13, 18, 39 ULA & 7/25 Arms Act Police Station Mahore.
During sustained interrogation Yousaf disclosed his association with Ashraf and their links with a LeT terrorist Talib Hussain in Pakistan who has crossed over to PoK from Mahore. Ashraf was also arrested. Both were in touch with their handler Talib Hussain a LeT Terrorist in PoK through whatsapp call and messages.
On the disclosure by them, a big cache of arms and ammunition-Chinese Pistols with magazines, pistol cartridges and live Chinese grenades were recovered from their possession which they had concealed in a hideout.
These terrorists were planning and working upon to revive militancy and carry out a major terrorist attack in Jammu zone.
After completing all aspects of investigation including expert opinion of Forensic Science Laboratory and complying legal procedures, case was approved and then sent for accord of government sanction from the Home Department which was sanctioned.
