| Online inter-college poster making competition held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 27: An online Inter-College Poster Making Competition on the topic “say No to Drugs ” was Organized by the Psychological cell of Government Degree college Pouni on occasion of The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking which observed around the world every year on 26 June.
The Competition took place under the supervision of Principal GDC Pouni Prof.Rajni Bhagat. Incharge Psychological cell Prof. Jaspal Singh coordinated Poster making competition. Prof.Balbir Kumar and Dr.Tarseem Kumar members of organizing Committee ,managed and evaluated the entries of students from different colleges. Around 15 Students from the different colleges of JK UT participated in this event . Students successfully expressed their Ideas “To prohibit the consumption of intoxicating drinks, drugs and smoking which are injurious to health”. Students Sapna Devi, Kajal Devi and Evendeep Singh, all from GDC Pouni secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Top three positions will be awarded with e- certificate. In her concluding remarks Principal appreciated the efforts of Psychological cell for organizing such a competition for students with the aim to create awareness about issues related to drugs and strengthening action and cooperation in order to make the world free of drug abuse and guided the cell to organize more such program in future.
