7312 people fined, 2 others arrested for violating COVID guidelines in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 27: As many as 7312 people were fined Rs 9.89 lakh and two others were arrested for violating COVID-19 guidelines during the last 24 hours in Kashmir valley. A police spokesperson said that continuing its efforts to curb the outbreak of second wave of Coronavirus, police arrested two persons, lodged an FIR and also realized fine to the tune of Rs 9,89,590 from 7312 people in the valley during the last 24 hours for violating the various guidelines regarding Covid-19. Besides, he said 10 vehicles were also seized in Shopian for violating COVID norms. He said the special drive against the violators of COVID-19 guidelines continued in all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic. “Community members are once again requested to cooperate with the Police in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/protocols for their own safety and for the safety of others. The special drive shall continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures,” he added. |
