| Stone crusher operating illegally adjacent to Bufliaz bridge since last one decade | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 2: A crusher registered with the name and Style ‘RB Stone crusher’ started operating adjacent to Bufliaz Bridge in 2006. Temporary permission was issued to the owner of Stone Crusher till the work completion of Mughal road. The work of Mughal road was completed in the financial year 2010, but the stone crusher is operating illegally till now.
The forest area is approximately around 200 metres away from this stone crusher but the pollution control board Jammu is silent on this issue. Moreover, they are selling material in the open market. They are also hiding their sales in book of accounts. Therefore, they are not paying GST to the State Taxes department.
Locals have requested Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to direct DMO Poonch, DFO Poonch and SDM Surankote to take strict action against the owner of stone crusher and also direct him to shift the crusher from this area. |
