NSS unit of GDC holds medical camp in collaboration with AYUSH

Jindrah, July 2: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah in collaboration with AYUSH organised a Medical Camp at village Jindrah under the supervision of a team from the AYUSH, Jammu.
The campaign was inaugrated by Prof. Rajshree Dhar principal, GDC Jindrah with Ribbon cutting ceremony.
Dr. Komal, Medical Officer, Nagrota initiated program by planting saplings of medicinal herbs as Van Mohotsav week is going on. Prof. Poonam Rainu presented formal welcome address. The activity incharge for the occasion were NSS volunteers viz. Arun Sharma, Anil Kumar, Vidhushi Verma and Shikha Goswami.
Dr. Mohan Singh, Director Indian system of medicine , Jammu , Dr . Suresh Sharma ADMO , Jammu were also present on the occasion and discussed in detailed about the benefits of Ayurveda in today's era. A total no of 282 participants including 50 volunteers attended the event.
Dr. Sunil Sharma, Programme Officer, NSS unit of GDC Jindrah delivered a lecture on the contribution of yoga, Ayurveda and Adhyatam in Indian Diaspora and its necessity in today's world. The other team member presented on the occasion were Sanjeev Kumar, Head pharmacists, Ramesh Kumar head pharmacists, and Ramesh Chander, supervisor, AYUSH Kishanpur .
The principal, Dr. Rajshree Dhar appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of NSS volunteers and AYUSH department for arranging such a wonderful event and making locals aware of contribution of Ayush and its importance in maintaining health.
The event was compiled by Dr. Seema and she also presented the formal vote of thanks. The NSS volunteers of GDC Jindrah and locals attentively attended the medical camp and medicines were also distributed at large scale.
