Vice Chairman DDC Kathua, Chairman MC Lakhanpur honour Dr Rameshwar on Doctors Day

KATHUA, July 2: Vice-Chairman DDC Kathua, Sh. Ragunandan Singh Jasrotia along with President Municipal Committee, Lakhanpur, Sh Ravinder Sharma today honoured Dr Rameshwar Singh, Zonal Medical Officer, Koti Chandyar, Bani tehsil, on the occasion of Doctors Day in a programme held here today.
On the occasion, Advocate Rakesh Khajuria former Vice-Chairman, Councilor Lakhanpur, Surmu Din were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chairman DDC Kathua and President Municipal Committee, Lakhanpur appreciated the hard-working of Dr Rameshwar in highly tuff area of District Kathua which is maximum on foot having no road connectivity as Dr Rameshwar Singh during his eight years of service in Bani organised hundreds of free medical camp from their pockets and distributed free medicines, masks among the people of the hilly terrain. Dr Rameshwar also made people aware regarding the Covid 19 while rendering his professional duties, they added.
They emphasised Dr Rameshwar, while performing his official duty, is a great social activist and provided study material to several students during lockdown besides financial aid in marriage of poor girls. This year during lockdown, he also provided free food packets among the patients at Sub District Hospital Bani. DDC Vice-Chairman thanked Dr Rameshwar Singh for their great contribution to the society and said doctors like Dr Rameshwar Singh are an inspiration for all of us.
