KPs urge Govt to hear demands, resolve issues

Jammu, July 2: In a meeting held by AIMCCC organisation under the presidentship of Desh Rattan Pandita,various unsolved issues of KP community were discussed.
It was felt to take the struggle ahead by protests so that the UT administration as well as central government is forced to hear us and resolve these longtime unresolved problems for which the administration was so many times requested to do the needful.
KPs demanded enhancement of cash assistance for relief holders be made immediately to at least Rs.8000/ per month per soul, balance exgratia of burnt/damaged houses and other structures in valley be paid henceforth,onetime special package to overaged youth of community be approved without any further delay, representation of KP’S in legislation.
They further demanded complete share in delimitation, minimum seven seats under reserved quota for KPs only and encroached land of KPs and temples & shrines be restored.
While speaking on these issues, Desh Rattan Pandita said that it is now upto administration, both at UT &Centre to look into our demands, failing which administration will be responsible for any outcome during protests.
