Dharmarth Trust lauds Div Com, DC Samba for showing keenness on augmenting facilities in Purmandal

Jammu, July 2: Dharmarth Trust on Friday applauded the proactive approach adopted by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Raghav Langar in augmenting facilities at famous Purmandal and Uttarbehni Shrines in Samba District.
In a statement issued today, Ajay Gandotra President Dharmarth Trust expressed gratitude to Divisional Commissioner Jammu for evincing keen interest in improving the facilities at the historical shrines of Jammu region viz Purmandal and Uttarbehni after visiting the site personally and taking stock of the edifice and facilities currently being offered to devotees.
He said that the Divisional Commissioner has responded promptly to the request made by the Dharmarth Trust to augment the facilities in the aforesaid shrines and visited the site along with DC Samba, Anuradha Gupta.
The President Dharmarth Trust also complimented the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and HOFF J&K, Dr. Mohit Gera and Chief Conservator of Forests Jammu, K. Ramesh Kumar and Chief Conservator of Forests, East Circle, Jammu, Samuel Changkija for visiting Purmandal in connection with enhancing the greenery of the area by developing a Biodiversity Park for ensuring soil and water conservation around the forests of famous ancient temple.
Ajay Gandotra said that Purmandal has a great historic importance and a large number of devotees visit this holy place throughout the year. He asserted that Purmandal is one of the ancient and most revered pilgrimage centres of Duggars.
Ajay Gandotra anticipated that government will give due significance to the Dharmarth Trust while chalking out any plans for the development of the area as this institution is looking after these shrines in a selfless manner for more than a century now.
It is pertinent to mention that Dharmarth Trust had requested the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to visit the shrine and take stock of the edifice and the facilities for the visitors and devotees so that adequate development be contemplated for this place which is significant historically and religiously.
The Trust’s President requested the Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Samba to make prior consultations with the Dharmarth Trust before the commencement of any kind of development work in these shrines as the Trust has a wide ranging experience and hold on the issues which these places are confronting since long. He said that a meaningful dialogue was held with many positive outcomes related to decisions on the development of the aforesaid shrines.
