Srinagar, Oct 19: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested a drug peddler in Ganderbal and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession, police spokesman said. He said, a party of Police Station Ganderbal at a checkpoint established at Beehama Ganderbal intercepted a person who on seeing the police party tried to escape. However, a swift action by police apprehended him. He said during frisking 96 tablets of banned drugs were recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and identified as Irshad Ahmad Mir of Saloora. A case has been registered in this regard, the police added.
