If Govt fails to declare holiday on Maharaja’s birthday we will migrate to Canada: Yuva Rajput Sabha | To stage protest, block Tawi bridge on October 23 | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 19: Yuva Rajput Sabha on Tuesday said that it would stage a massive protest here on October 23 against government not fulfilling their demand to declare holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday on September 23. Talking to reporters here, leaders of Yuva Rajput Sabha said that they would block the Tawi Bridge in Jammu on October 23 (Saturday) against government not respecting the aspirations of Dogra Samaaj. “They keep on shouting Jammu, Jammu, then why can’t they declare holiday on Maharaja’s birthday. It seems they are least bothered about our sentiments. If they can’t respect our aspirations it’s better for Jammu people to leave this place and go to Canada, why we need to stay here,” said a Yuva Rajput Sabha leader. He claimed that BJP played politics by installing a statue of Maharaja Hari Singh at its office in Jammu and “it’s just a part of vote bank politics,” the leader claimed. Another leader said that entire Jammu had voted for the present regime with a hope that it will work for the cause of Dogras but “this dispensation like previous Kashmir centric regimes has disappointed us,” he added. The Yuva Rajput Sabha leaders said that they have been forced to hit the streets as the government has not paid any attention towards their repeated pleas to declare a holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday. |
