JAMMU, Oct 19: Young writer Ganga Sharma was felicitated with Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2020 in a mega function organized from 17-19 October 2021 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Sahitya Akademi President Chander Shekhra Kambara and Hindi poet Arun Kamal felicitated Ganga Sharma for her collection of 29 poems "Mannae Da Buaal".
Altogether 24 writers and poets of 24 languages were also felicitated at the event. The recipients of the award were provided with a citation and a checque of ₹50,000. A resident of Karwal village Ganga is the daughter of national & international awardee Raj Kumar, retired lecturer and state awardee retired teacher Geeta Devi. She is presently serving as Assistant Professor in the Dogri Department of GCW Parrade Ground, Jammu. |
