SOTTO J&K in collaboration with IMFA JU organizes poster making, face painting competition | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 20: State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) J&K in collaboration with Department of Applied Art, Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) University of Jammu organized a poster making and face painting competition on the theme ‘LIFE AFTER DEATH’ today. During the event around 50 students from the department participated and gave a message of “saving lives after death simply by pledging organs while living” for their requirement after death. Dr. Sanjeev Puri, Joint Director, SOTTO J&K cleared all the myths related to human organ donation prevailing in society. “The gap of organ availability and organ requirement can only be filled by pledging our organs for donation”, he said. Prof. Shohab Malik, Principal IMFA, also motivated the students to come forward and pledge for organ donation for the noble cause humanity. Prof. Rakesh Sharma, HOD, Department of Applied Art said that our thinking should be that after death we can save lives of other by organ donation. |
