GHSS Khour renamed after Shaheed DySP Gulbadan Singh Bhau

AKHNOOR, Dec 20: Jammu district administration has renamed Government Higher Secondary School, Khour as Shaheed DySP Gulbadan Singh Bhau Government Higher Secondary School Khour. The renaming ceremony was today organized in which Suraj Singh Bhau, Vice Chairman District Development Council was the chief guest whereas Ramesh Chander ADDC Jammu, DDC Bhushan Bral Balbir Singh Bhau BDC Khour were the special guests of the occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, Sushma Chib, the wife of the martyr, said that in 1998, his husband attained martyrdom while serving the country, She said his whole family is feeling honored and appeals to the government that he should be honored with the Ashok Chakra.
The ADDC Jammu said that the renaming of schools is a token of gratitude and to pay tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives fighting for the country. He said the country is celebrating 75th Year of Independence as ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ and renaming the schools, roads after martyrs or other renowned personalities will be an effort to remember and honor their valued contribution made for the country.
Bhau said that renaming of schools would be a small token of gratitude to pay tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives fighting for the country. He said that it is a pride moment for the whole Khour Sub Division. He said in the past no government paid concern towards glorifying the martyrs of our nation and it is the Modi government which is giving the due respect to the nation heroes who gave their supreme sacrifice for the nation.
