| NSS Special Camp begins at GDC Darhal | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Dec 21: A seven-day long NSS Special Camp was inaugurated at Govt. Degree College Darhal by Principal of the college Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia. In his inaugural address Prof. Jasrotia enlightened the volunteers regarding the importance of NSS Special Camp.
He said that the main theme of such camps is to make education more relevant to the present situation to meet the felt needs of the communities and supplement the education of college students by bringing them face to face with the community situation. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Ather Aziz Raina, NSS Programme Officer of the college gave a detail of the various activities to be organized in the special camp.
He told that overall 100 NSS volunteers have been enrolled for this seven days special NSS camp. Prof. Tahir Mahmood also spoke on this occasion. He motivated the students to take part wholeheartedly in all the events organized during the camp and also to concentrate on the academics during these days. Another highlight of the day was the display of a cultural programme by the NSS volunteers. Some NSS volunteers also spoke on the importance of special camps. NSS camp is being headed by Camp Commandants Ibrat and Mehrul Nisa. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Hashim Ahmad Malik. Others present on the occasion were Dr. Riaz, Dr. Javaid Ahmad Mir, Maawish, Monika, Qayoom, Avaiz, Safeer and Saddam. |
