| Anil Dhar demands constitution of Truth & Reconciliation Commission | | |

JAMMU, Dec 21: Seeking constitution of Truth and Reconciliation Commission to unveil the circumstances leading to massacre, plunder and subsequent displacement of Kashmiri Pandits from valley, former National Conference Provincial President Anil Dhar today said this will let the nation and the world know atrocities committed on the peaceful, educated and civilized minority community at the onset of terrorism in Kashmir. Talking to media persons Dhar said this will also end the hurtful, malicious and motivated propaganda and the blatant lie about former Governor Jagmohan having engineered or facilitated the migration. Such venomous propaganda has now crossed the limits with responsible people like those having occupied the constitutional positions getting swayed and making painful observations on Kashmir history’s most horrendous chapter. Dhar expressed anguish and deep hurt over the observations of National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah, blaming Jagmohan for Kashmiri Hindus migration, saying this was contrary to the fact that it was Pakistan and its proxies which still continue to be responsible for the migration and exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from the valley. |
