12/29/2021 10:42:29 PM

EARly Times Report

JAMMU, Dec 29: Chairperson of Waqf Development Committee of Ministry of Minority Affairs Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today reached Jaora in Madhya Pradesh along with the team of Central Waqf Council & inspected Waqf Shrines & Properties there. She held meetings with the Waqf Management of Madhya Pradesh and took stock of the implementation of schemes of the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs in the State. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi later laid the foundation stone of a huge Musafir Khana dedicated to the name of Fatima-tu-Zahra (as) in Jaora under MP Waqf. Dr Andrabi was accompanied by Central Waqf Council Members Haneef Ali & Qari Mohammad Haroon. Speaking on the occasion Dr Andrabi said that Waqf in India transformed to a self-reliant, vibrant & transparent system of management during the Modi regime led by the Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. “Waqf is now managing its resources & finances through digital transparent system and after seven decades of loot of Waqf properties and financial resources by the political class & community leaders, now Waqf is in a position to multiply its assets and construct public utility structures out of the savings and its reliability on government funding has minimized,” said Dr Darakhshan Andarbi. She said soon Waqf will be in a position to create state of art & quality educational institutions, medical centers & employment generating units throughout the country. She thanked the Muslim clergy of Jaora for their visionary decision to construct this huge Musafair Khana keeping in view the need of it in the area. She said that she was happy to learn that this structure will be constructed with Waqf Funds only. In reply to a question, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that soon J&K will re-constitute its new Waqf Board under Central Waqf Act and the Waqf system in the Muslim majority territory will be in place with new digital system of management so that scope for complaints of loot, misappropriation of funds & misuse of Waqf properties in J&K is stopped right away.
