Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 29: Known for speaking bluntly on all issues, the president of the Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP, Ravinder Raina on Wednesday demanded that injustice which is being meted out by the incumbent government with the Early Times must be ended to ensure smooth flow of democratic institutions. “Media of one of the pillars of democracy. All registered newspapers must be given government advertisement as per rules and regulations”, Raina while reacting to the query that government advertisement of newspapers has been stopped for highlighting peoples’ problems. “I am not aware of stopping of advertisements of some newspaper. In a democracy voice of media should not be stifled at any cost”, he said and pointed out that The Early Times is one of the prominent newspapers of Jammu and Kashmir. “Advertisements should be given to all newspapers as per set parameters. Injustice with any newspaper for highlighting peoples’ problem is against the spirit of democracy”, he said. Raina lambasted Kashmir-centric parties like NC, PDP, Apni Party, and Peoples’ Conference for opposing the recently held real-estate summit in Jammu. He said that investment in J&K will create new job opportunities for the youth. |
