| Apni Party demands lifting of restrictions on press, media in J&K | | |

JAMMU, Dec 29: Vice President Apni Party Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that press should be allowed to work freely in Jammu & Kashmir like the other parts of the country.
Talking to media persons here, Mir said that if press is allowed to work freely in the different parts of country why it is being barred to work under pressure from the government and different quarters. He demanded lifting of restrictions on working of press in Jammu & Kashmir and said that his party stands by the same.
“The Apni Party highly condemns the putting of restrictions on the working of press in Jammu & Kashmir. If the press and media are allowed to work independently in the different parts of country, why the restrictions are placed on its working in Jammu & Kashmir? The Apni Party demands free press and media in Jammu & Kashmir,” said Mir. |
