Early Times Report KATHUA, Dec 29: The Youth Red Cross Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua in association with Indian Red Cross Society Kathua and SDRF started two-day long First Aid training at college. The program was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of District Red Cross Society Kathua Rahul Yadav. In the beginning of the program, ASI Vikas Sharma on behalf of SDRF informed the volunteers about the basic measures used in times of disaster. Dr. Manisha Sharma also briefed the volunteers about providing basic health facilities during the disaster. Dr. Sayeed Ishrat also briefed the volunteers about the basic health facilities as well as the safety measures taken during the disaster. Apart from 25 youth Red Cross volunteers, 20 District Red Cross Society volunteers will be given training in the two days training programme. On this occasion Principal Degree College Kathua Prof Raj Kiran Sharma, Coordinator Youth Red Cross Unit Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma, Secretary District Red Cross Om Prakash, SDRF DSP Yash Pal, Prof Manmohan Singh, Prof Neha Bandral and Prof Kaurav Singh were present. |
