Diluting security of Ex-CMs big conspiracy of BJP government: Taranjit Tony | | | Early Times Report
SUCHETGARH, Jan 8: Accusing the BJP-led central government of conspiring to restrict the free movement of four former chief ministers of J&K, DDC member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony said that security cover of Dr Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah has been diluted and these public representatives have been left with no other option but to either remain indoors or move out with thin security cover. In a statement issued here, Tony said that beyond any doubt the BJP led government at the Centre and its ‘proxy’ administration in J&K led by LG Manoj Sinha are playing vindictive politics indicating clearly the narrow-mindedness of those sitting at helm of affairs. He said it is an attempt to contain their movement in view of forthcoming elections in J&K which is not fair and shows sheer misuse of power. “Though I am not affiliated to any of the party but being an ethical and politically upright person it is my duty to highlight BJP government’s brazen move of injustice and discrimination”, he said, adding that the step clearly shows the malice of BJP for its political opponents and the level upto which this party can plunge for petty political gains. Tony hailed the decision of Election Commission of India for announcing the assembly poll schedule for the five states. He urged the ECI to consider the same for J&K as well because the people are passing through a bad phase due to the absence of a popular government.
