Anti-Jammu attitude of Babus likely to dominate BJP’s core-group meeting | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 9: As anger among people is brewing against the callous attitude of a coterie of Babus in solving their day-to-day problems, BJP leaders are likely to express their views against the present regime. There is a feeling among a section of BJP leaders that the present regime has failed to solve basic problems of the people of Jammu-which is the core constituency of the Saffron Party. “We will strongly take up such issues in the core group meeting of the party going to be held on January 9”, a senior BJP leader told The Early Times. Wishing anonymity, he said that during the over one-year senior party leaders associated with BJP for long, have been demonized by the administration as part of a deep-rooted conspiracy. “It appears that a section of administration is working on an agenda to discredit all old guards in the party”, he said and revealed that anti-Jammu policies being pursued by the present regime would also be raised in the core-group meeting. BJP leadership has realized that prevailing anger among people of the Jammu region would be proved disastrous for the party in coming assembly elections. The meeting of the core group of the party will be held on Sunday. National general secretary and incharge J&K Tarun Chug along with Seh Prabhari of J&K, Ashish Sood will attend the meeting. As reported earlier by this newspaper the growing anger of people against BJP is the result of the present government. Although local BJP leaders have no say in the decision-making of the present regime, there is a perception among the masses that Saffron Party is controlling the administration. And, the BJP is likely to bear brunt of such perception. Recently, a senior BJP leader admitted that they don’t have any say in the administration and all important decisions are taken by the Babus. |
