Bhanu Partap Goria said that The Maharaja introduced the Infant Marriage Act and Untouchability Act to safeguard the people of this princely state,” he said, adding that it was only because of Maharaja Hari Singh, the High Court was established and his judicial advisers were appointed as the judges. The accession of J&K with India was also possible because of Maharaja Hari Singh. Bhanu Partap Goria said that now Article 370 and 35A have been abolished from Jammu and Kashmir, therefore, the Lieutenant Governor should declare a government holiday on the birthday of the Maharaja.
