Amid heavy snowfall security forces launch search operation in Kishtwar | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Jan 8: Security forces in Kishtwar today launched a massive search operation in outskirts of Kishtwar town as well as in Bugrana area of Saroor, some 40 kilometers from Kishtwar. As per the details available with Early Times, following inputs about the movement of militants, security forces today launched a massive search operation in Qatarsama area in the outskirts of Kishtwar town despite heavy snowfall in the area. The security forces conducted the search in many houses including that of an ex militant. Sources told Early Times that due to ongoing snowfall and bad weather conditions, the militants are trying to come close to populated areas and in the areas in close vicinity of the Kishtwar town. They said that due to low water level in river Chenab, the militants can easily cross over to outskirts of Kishtwar town added that they did not want to give any roam to the militants who can destabilize the peace and tranquility in the area. Sources said that searches were also conducted in Bugrana village of Saroor in Drabshallla Tehsil-home to longest surviving Hizb militant commander Jahangir Saroori. The sources said that the ancestral house of the militant along with the houses in the said locality were frisked, but find no success. The sources said that after busting various natural caved hideouts, the militants were looking forward to establish new and safe havens in these areas which will not be allowed to happen. |
