Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 12: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, State President BJYM Jammu Kashmir Arun Prabhat along with Yuva Morcha Karyakarta's today paid floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda's statue at Vivekananda chowk, Jammu on Wednesday. Prabhat recalled how Swami Vivekananda, in his short life span, with his universal spirituality, practical wisdom and magnetic personality, galvanized the youth of the country with a sense of self-respect and a sense of destiny for Bharat as the world leader. His call, 'Awake, Arise and Stop not until the Goal is reached' became the inspirational mantra for the youth.It is only appropriate that his birthday is celebrated as National Youth Day," he said. Prabhat further mentioned the historic speech given by Swami Vivekananda at the World's Parliament of Religious, Chicago on 11 September 1893 truly represents the cultural, civilisational and religious ethos of our great nation. Swami Vivekananda received a standing ovation for two minutes after finishing the speech which established him as the greatest figure in the Parliament of World Religions and India as the mother of religions. Arun Prabhat appealed to the youth of Jammu Kashmir to re-dedicate themselves on National Youth Day to build a self-reliant, prosperous and capable India. |
