‘PMAJY confined to papers only in J&K’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 12: Anil Sharma of All J&K Panchayat Conference on Wednesday people are facing lot of difficulties in acquiring the funds for houses under Prime Minister Awas Yojana and scheme in J&K seems confined to papers only. Talking to Early Times Sharma said, “Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has directed the officials that all the people living in kacha house would get a pacca house by 2022 end. But it seems officials are not taking the instructions seriously. On ground nothing much is happening in J&K.” “Panchayats have already forwarded the list of the deserving people to the government. We were asked to submit the list of all the people living in kacha houses but if we send the list of 120 people only 30 names are approved. Only lists are being taken by us, priorities are being fixed by someone else. Panchayats have not been empowered to fix priority about who should get the house.” He alleged that mining has become a Mafia and nexus is going on. “Despite government fixing the rates of the construction material, it is being sold at exorbitant rates.” |
