| Stopping Govt advts to few newspapers condemnable : Sharma | | |

Jammu, Jan 12: Anil Sharma of All J&K Panchayat Conference on Wednesday condemned the attitude of the bureaucrats to stop government advertisements to a few newspapers in Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to Early Times Sharma said, “Media is the fourth pillar of democracy and it’s due to it that wrong and corrupt practices come to fore. Intimidating newspapers by stopping their advertisements is not acceptable. It needs to be condemned in strongest possible terms. The attempts to weaken the media should be stopped forthwith.”
Sharma said, “I appeal to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to treat all the media houses equally and take action against those officials who are out to destroy the media.” |
