DSK expresses concern over spike in Corona cases | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 12: The Dogra Sahayata Kendra (DSK) has expressed concern over the sharp spike in Corona cases in recent weeks. This was stated by Th Gulchain Singh Charak, President Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) in a meeting of the office bearers of Dogra Sahayta Kendra (DSK), a social-charitable unit of DSS, Jammu, held here today to review the public health situation, following fresh wave of Covid - 19 and occurrence of Omicron cases in the region as per a press release issued here today. He offered the services of the Kendra to the public and the health authorities in dealing with the emerging crises A grave concern was expressed by participants in the meeting over the increase in number of Covid-19 cases in Jammu region, and it was decided that Dogra Sahayta Kendra Jammu will extend all possible help to the public and concerned authorities of Health Department to fight the pandemic through conducting awareness campaign for masses and providing physical support to prevention and control measures against Covid - 19 and Omicron. In this connection, it was decided to actively involve the staff of Dogra Educational Trust at Bari Brahmana, Jammu in organizing sensitization campaign for adoption of anti Covid-19 measures. Charak further said that DSK has offered to provide to concerned health authorities, a complete building of Dogra Educational Trust, at Bari Brahmana, Jammu for use as an Isolation Centre for treatment of Covid-19/ Omicron patients without charges. As per the release, the DSS/DSK have also offered to provide appropriate room/ accommodation to concerned health authorities at three locations viz. the Dogra Educational Trust, Bari Brahmana, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple Complex, Gandhi Nagar and Dogra Sadar Sabha Headquarters, Jammu city to operationalize and facilitate suitable expansion of the Health Department's programme to administer booster dose of Covid-19 vaccine to senior citizens and Covid-19 vaccine to children and teenagers. It was further decided to keep the services of one Ambulance Van available round the clock for needy patients by the DSK, which can be availed by contacting phone numbers 0191-2543589; 0191-2453451; 7051875492 (mob.) provided by DSK in public interest. |
