Early Times Report KATHUA, Jan 12: NSS Units of GDC Kathua concluded their activities under Youth India Programme on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda which is celebrated as National Youth Day in India every year. On concluding day, NSS units organized poster making and slogan writing competition. More than thirty five volunteers took part in the competition. Mohit Verma, Sakshi Bhau and Shiksha's posters were declared first, second and third by the jury members. Literature on Swami Vivekananda was also distributed among the youth of NSS adopted village Bhagthali and its surrounding villages like Jarai, Taraf Sanji and Rapar. Under this more than one week long programme, numbers of activities were organized like Class Room talk on Swami Vivekananda and Aurobindo Ghosh, webinar on the youth's participation in nation building and competition on recitation of speeches of Swami Vivekananda and songs on the life of Aurobindo Ghosh. Volunteers also participated in 25th National Youth Festival's inauguration ceremony which is being organized on virtual mode by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.This week long Youth India Programme was organized under the patronage of Incharge Principal Prof Raj Kiran Sharma and supervision of NSS Program Officers, Prof Manmohan Singh, Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma and Prof Neha Bandral. |
