Cold wave sweeps Kashmir valley, Ladakh | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jan 12: Cold wave conditions intensified in Kashmir valley and Ladakh with temperature plummeting all across the twin Union Territories as Srinagar recoded a low of minus 3.6 degree Celsius and Pahalgam minus 11.6 degree Celsius while Drass plunged to minus 27.7 degree Celsius on Wednesday. A Meteorological Department official said that Srinagar, the summer capital of Kashmir, recorded a low temperature of minus 3.6 degree Celsius against the 0.2 degree Celsius recorded the previous day which was minus 1.5 degree below normal during this time of the season, he said. The famous ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir dipped to minus 11.5 degree Celsius against the minus 10.6 degree Celsius recorded on Tuesday which is minus 3.6 degree below normal during this period of the season.
