"Corona Free Society" - A mission launched by SCCU | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 15: In view of the increasing number of corona cases, the dire need for vaccination, and the seriousness of the government to vaccinate the people's Senior Citizens Club (Regd.) Udhampur' (SCCU) owning it as its responsibility, organized a special immunization camp in the clubhouse in Shiv Nagar, Udhampur, in collaboration with the health officials of the District Hospital especially to provide 'precautionary dose' of corona vaccine to senior citizens. In the camp a large number of senior citizens' including women were vaccinated in the camp. Speaking to the media on this occasion, Club President Mahadeep Singh Jamwal said that organizing this special camp is to make the society health-conscious and corona free and is a part of the club's Mission '"Corona Free Society". To provide social services especially to Senior Citizens and to contribute in the administration's such valuable programs, is one of the aims and objectives of the Club. Jamwal reiterated that the Club looks forward to organizing such more camps in association with District Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, and health authorities in coming days in Udhampur and in its branch at Ramnagar. A message was given by the club on this occasion that there is real hope that vaccines will help end the pandemic. But until it is over, we must stay vigilant and continue to protect our loved ones by wearing masks, physically distancing, and washing our hands. We must follow strictly the guidelines issued by the administration. It is the fundamental responsibility of every citizen to contribute to making our society healthy and disease-free. |
