Dogra Shayata Kendra to campaign for CAB in Jammu

JAMMU, Jan 15: In view of the surging COVID cases in the Jammu belt an initiative was taken by Dogra Educational Trust in collaboration with Dogra Shayata Kendra under the aegis of Dogra Sadar Sabha to campaign for the cause of following COVID appropriate behavior.
Earlier in a meeting held with the ward member of the Municipal Committee Bari Brahmana the Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister & Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust had committed to undertake the COVID awareness campaign in and around Bari Brahmana. In continuation with the same commitment Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust flagged off the awareness campaign from the college premises. The campaigners were volunteer faculty members and non-teaching staff from Dogra Group of Colleges.
The campaign was supported by the ward members of the Municipal Committee Bari Brahmana under the supervision of their Chairman Capt. Bachan Lal from ward 11. Faculty members from all three Colleges namely Dogra Degree College, Dogra Law College & Dogra College of Education undertook the initiative of spreading COVID awareness and distributing masks and guided people on the need for following COVID protocols. They were ably assisted by ward members Mrs. Sujata from ward 01, Ram Ji Sharma from Ward 04, Tarsem Lal from ward 07, Bachan Lal from ward 08, and Parveen Kumar from ward 10.
As a part of an awareness campaign for re-useable cloth masks and one-time use, surgical masks were distributed amongst the commuters' pedestrians' vendors and shopkeepers in Bari Brahmana Main Market area and Bari Brahmana Chowk. The people were also made to realize the importance of social distancing regular hand washing, masking, and the following coughing and sneezing etiquettes.
The campaign was undertaken by Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal Dogra College of Education, Balwant Singh, Simran Devi & Rishabh Bakshi, Faculty Dogra Degree College. Amarjeet Kour, Shivangi, Faculty Dogra College of Education. Ramneek Bali, Desh Bandhu, Ratvinder, & Iram, Faculty Dogra Law College. Angrez Bandral, Sunil & Avinash, Dogra Educational Trust.
