Shivsena urges LG not to put teachers at risk | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 15: The Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit has urged the education department and theJammu and Kashmir administration not to put teachers on risk by unnecessary calling them to school during the COVID Epidemic. In a press conference held at the party's State Office, Jammu today, State President Manish Sahni said that the situation across the nation is highly worrisome and even the union territory has been witnessing highest spike in fresh corona positive cases with each passing day. In such circumstances the decision to call teachers unnecessary in schools, needs to be reconsidered. He said that recently four teachers have been found corona positive in Middle School, Chak Changarwa, after which the fear is increasing among the teachers and their families. Sahni said that teachers should be provided the best facilities fir thier outstanding performance during the pandamic by working from home. Sahni appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Hon'ble Manoj Sinha, to issue instructions to stop unnecessarily calling the teachers to the school. On this occasion president mehila wing Meenakshi Chibber, Gen secretary Vikas Bakshi,vice president Balwant Singh , President Kamghar wing Raj Singh were present. |
