GHS Bhalra celebrates Indian Army Day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 15: Govt. Higher Secondary School Bhalra, Bhaderwah celebrated the 74th Indian Army Day with fervor and pride through Virtual Mode. The day is celebrated on January, 15 to commemorate the day when Lieutenant General KM Cariappa took over General Sir Francis Butcher as the Commander-in-Chief of India in January 1949. Students and NCC Cadets of this Institution paid rich tributes to the gallant Indian Army through various activities such as PowerPoint presentations, rhymes, poster-making events etc. Suresh Kumar Manhas (Principal) and Sh. Ajit Kumar (sSr. Lect.) urged students to stay united, fight against terrorism and stand together for the safety of mankind. Students sang songs like Amar Jawan Jyoti and played different video clippings related to the life of the Indian Army and recited patriotic poems. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul (Associate NCC Officer) appeal that everyone should prioritize service to the motherland. To imbibe this message of patriotism among students, cadets, and staff members and also express his heartfelt gratitude and tributes to those who remain undeterred while laying down their lives for the sake of the Nation. |
