JAMMU, Jan 29: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Councillor Amit Gupta inaugurated lane and drain work at Qasim Nagar in Ward-19 at the cost of Rs 5 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Councillor Amit Gupta appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in various development works undertaken by it within Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents to avoid using single use plastics, polythene in their routine work and asked them not to throw debris, garbage or filth in the drains, lanes and nallahs.
Gupta also appealed the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and a beautiful city.
Local residents including Sunil Kumar (Nazi), Shashi Kumar, Rinku Singh, Amirk Singh, Jasa Singh, Bahadur, Inder Jeet, Ashok Koul, Bini, Madan Lal and others were present on the occasion.
