Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 29: In a petition filed by petitioners seeking directions to the respondents to grant extension to the contractual employment of the petitioners in due deference to clause 4 of their Order of engagement viz.; order no.444/AHJ of 2020 dated 25.09.2020 in view of satisfactory performance of the petitioners in serving the cause of humanity at government Medical college, Jammu by risking their lives to treat the patients suffering from corona virus (COVID 19), Justice Puneet Gupta of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court after hearing Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi with Adv Sumit Nayyar directed that till next date of hearing, the petitioners, if continuing with their duties till date, they shall not be disengaged by the respondents. During the course of hearing Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi submitted that respondents not to oust the petitioners from their contractual appointment and not to replace them with new contractual employees in view of the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme court of India and grant them their monthly remuneration regularly and without any obstruction and interruption. —JNF |
