| One person held by Kishtwar police with 12 Bore Rifle | | |

Kishtwar, Jan 29: Kishtwar Police of PS Chatroo while performing routine patrolling headed by Insp Parvaiz Khanday under the supervision of Dy. SP DAR Sh. Zia--Haq at Nanzala Sigdi area* ```noticed a suspicious movement of a person who was on way from Nanzala Balana towards forest carrying a Rifle on his shoulder. The said person was intercepted by the patrolling party who tired to escape but the patrolling by acting swiftly chased and overpowered the said person.
While questioning the accused disclosed his identity as Dewan Chand S/O Beli Ram R/O Nanzala Sigdi. The said person was asked to produce the document of the weapon in question to which he could not produce any valid document and accordingly the accused person was taken into the custody and also the weapon was seized on spot.
In this regard a case FIR No. 08/2022 under relevant section of law has been registered at PS Chatroo and investigation taken up. |
