Ajatshatru applauds Prof Vishwa Murti's contribution in Sanskrit language

JAMMU, Feb 1: Chairman Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust and former Member Parliament, Dr Karan Singh today bestowed honour upon Prof Vishwa Murti Shastri after the later received much coveted Padma Shri Award for his momentous contributions in the fields of Literature and Education.
In an impressive function held at Shri Raghunath ji Temple here, M K Ajatshatru Singh, Trustee Dharmarth Trust took the honours of felicitating Dr Shastri on the behalf of Dr Karan Singh. Sh Ranvijay Singh, Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust honoured Prof Vishaw Murti by presenting a souvenir.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Satish Sharma also graced the occasion.
Pt Shiv Raina, Chairman J&K Dharmarth Trust Advisory Committee, threw light on the life history of Prof Vishaw Murti. In his message, the Chairman Trustee has extended his warmest congratulations to Dr Shastri for achieving this extraordinary feat and asserted that the recognition accorded by the central dispensation is well deserved. He said that the pivotal role played by Prof Shastri in promoting Sanskrit in the arid belts of J&K and elsewhere is simply unrivaled and incomparable. “The people of the Union Territory of J&K and even the entire country owe so much to Prof Shastri for his phenomenal work towards the society”, his statement reads adding that the persona of Prof V M Shastri is epitome of hard work and elegance which is difficult to find in today’s fast and materialistic world.
M K Ajatshatru Singh congratulated Prof V M Shastri for getting the rightful acclaim. He said that Prof Shastri has acted as a beacon of light for others in Jammu and Kashmir to follow his pursuits and act as an asset by bringing name and fame through dint of hard work while emulating the life struggles of Dr Sahib. He also lauded the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for conferring Padma Shri Award to Prof Vishwa Murti.
Prof Vishwa Murti Shastri, while speaking on the occasion, reciprocated warm wishes to Dr Karan Singh ji and extended his gratefulness towards the entire Dharmarth Trust family for bestowing honours upon him. He said that he will continue to work for the people of Jammu and Kashmir by sharing experience and knowledge which he has attained during the journey so far. Prof Vishwa Murti also assured that the officials of J&K Dharmarth Trust that he will make all possible effort for upgrading Shri Raghunath Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya Birpur as Adarsh Mahavidhalaya for the promotion of Sanskrit language in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The function was organized by President J&K Dharmarth Trust, Advocate Ajay Gandotra while Secretary, Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma conducted the proceedings of the programme.
