Jammu, Feb 1: People visiting Covid-19 vaccination centre at Kalakote have alleged that they are being asked to pay for the anti-Covid jabs.
Jitendra Kumar, who had arrived at the centre, to get himself vaccinated while talking to Early Times alleged: “I and my friend were asked to pay Rs 200/ for two Covid vaccines. I want to ask the government if these jabs are free, then why are we being asked to pay for them?”
He said that getting vaccinated is important to keep the virus at bay and the authorities should cooperate with the people rather than putting a price tag on vaccines. “The top officials should take a note and stop the health workers from exploiting the poor people,” Kumar added. |
