GCOE Jammu organizes induction program for BEd students

JAMMU, Feb 1: The IQAC Cell and the B.Ed. Department of Government College of Education, Jammu conducted an online Induction-cum- Orientation program for the new students of B.Ed. Session 2021-23. The program began with a formal welcome address by the Principal of GCOE, Jammu, Dr. Kulvinder Kour. She exhorted the students to update and up-skill themselves with hybrid mode of teaching as this is going to be the new methodology of teaching in the post-pandemic era.
Her address was followed by a detailed presentation about B.Ed. Course by B. Ed. Coordinator, Prof. K. K. Magotra.
Prof. Shalini Rana, IQAC Convener, Dr. Anuradha Seth Chief Librarian, and Dr. Deep Kumar Bangotra, HOD Computer Sciences also gave a brief presentation about the facilities offered by the college.
Later in the session, the students were introduced to various disciplines by subject experts viz. Prof. Vinay Lata, Prof. Neeraj Verma, Prof. Sushma Bala, Dr. Neelam Dhar, Prof. Maansi Sharma, Dr. Shubhra Jamwal, Prof. Satish, Prof. Seema Kumari, Dr. Taahira Shah, Dr. Anju Bala, Dr. Jyoti Parihar, Prof. Radhika, Prof. Anuradha Choudhary, Prof. Shalini Sharma, Prof. Shapia Shameem, Prof. Sarita Dogra and Prof. Rubina Yasmeen, Dr. Rajinder Kour and Prof. Sunita Devi. The faculty members familiarized them with the subjects under two years B.Ed. Program. Dr. Anuradha Seth, Chief Librarian, briefed the students about the college's automated library's resources and teaching materials.
After being acquainted with the curriculum and their particular subjects, a full round of Fresher's introduction took place. The students also interacted with Student President of B.Ed., Suviadha and Vice President K. K. Magotra. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Shalini Rana. The program was conducted by Sheetal, Priya Bhasin, Nishi Rana and Aakriti of B. Ed. Semester III of the college.
