No ration, no electricity at Sranwan village | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Feb 24: The people of remote Sranwan village in Thakrie block of Kishtwar District are facing lot of problem due to non availability of the electricity in the area following heavy snowfall in the area few days ago as a result of which the life of the people has been crippled. As per the details available with Early Times, the electricity in the village got snapped due to snowfall after the electricity polls installed in the bill were uprooted. Speaking to Early Times, the people said that due to non availability of electricity, the electronic machines used by the food Civil Services and Consumer Affairs Department also become non functional as a result of which the people fail to receive the ration. “We are coming at Fair Price Shop in the village since last three days- but due to no electricity, the finger print based electronic machine used for issuance of the ration to the ration card holders didn’t function as a result of the people had to return back empty handed” said the locals added that due to non distribution of the ration, the poor people of the area who are mostly depend on government ration are facing lot of problems. The people urged the officials and the administration to distribute the ration off line and once the electricity restored in the area, they will put their finger print on the ration distribution machine. |
