Migrant KPs fume after BJP leader gets son transferred from Kashmir to Jammu | Making mockery of PM’s employment package | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 27: Migrant Kashmiri Pandits on Sunday questioned the move of the government to transfer son of a senior BJP leader and party spokesman along with the post from Kashmir to Jammu. Talking to a news channel, they said, "When Kashmiri Pandits were provided jobs under the Prime Minister’s package they were asked to sign an affidavit that they would not leave the Valley till their service tenure ends. But a senior BJP leader has managed to get his son transferred from Kashmir to Jammu along with the post. We want to ask one simple question: Are the rules only for us, why are not these applicable on the kith and kin of the politicians. If son of a BJP leader can be transferred along with posts why can’t the same rule be applied on all of us.” “There are nearly 6000 KPs working in Kashmir under the PM's employment package. If one person has been transferred then others also should be shifted,” they added. Kashmiri Pandits said, “For the past 32-years politicians have been playing politics on our bodies. They have just used us for their vested interests.” They urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and LG Manoj Sinha to intervene and end discrimination with them. “If one person has been shifted from Kashmir then the same rule needs to be applicable on all,” they added. |
