Govt should secure future of Ukraine return students: Shiv Sena | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 4: Shiv Sena Jammu & Kashmir unit has demanded provision of special seats in medical colleges of Jammu & Kashmir for the students who were studying in Ukraine and had to return back home due to Russia-Ukraine war that has been going on for the past more than a week. During a press conference the party's UT President Manish Sahni said that the students of Jammu & Kashmir who were forced to return with their education unfinished in the aftermath of the war that broke out in Ukraine, their career and future is at stake now. He appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha to provide special/additional seats in J&K colleges free of cost so that the affected students do not lose their crucial academic year. He demanded that the students should be provided the facility as per their subject and year. Sahni made a fervent appeal to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the Chief Ministers of other states to take appropriate steps for providing free education to the affected students in their states so that they are able to continue their further education without any break. He lauded the efforts of the government of India for evacuating the students safely to India but said that presently the future of these students is a cause of utmost worry. |
